Bartow, FL (March 12, 2021)- Chief Judge Ellen S. Masters was presented with the Jurist of the Year 2020-21 Award by the Polk Association of Women Lawyers (PAWL) at their Third Annual Women’s History Luncheon, held on Friday, March 12, 2021.
The Honorable Ellen S. Masters has been re-elected by the judges of the Tenth Judicial Circuit to serve another two year term as Chief Judge, commencing on July 1, 2021.
More than 20 judges and court personnel received honors or acclaim for their contributions to the branch during the spring and summer of 2020. Read the list of recipients.
We have transitioned from “in-the-courtroom proceedings with lots of paperwork” to video/audio court proceedings with electronic forms, filing, and signatures. We have worked tirelessly with the clerks, public defenders office, state attorneys office, and other stakeholders to make some of these very important changes.
