State Courts Technology Officer: Leveraging Millennials panel discussion
Roosevelt Sawyer, Jr., chief information officer for the Office of the State Courts Administrator, was a panelist at the 2019 Public Sector CIO Academy (November 18-19, Tallahassee) involving chief information officers and staff members from many state agencies. He is pictured in the middle on stage for the panel session.
His discussion with Greg Smiley, chief information officer for the Department of Transportation and event director Zach Thorn was titled “Optimizing the Workforce and Workplace of Tomorrow.”
Sawyer provided insight into efforts at the OSCA to plan for the generationally changing workforce, address the ways the mission of the judicial branch can mesh with the professional and personal priorities of Millennials, as well as leverage the goals and strengths of all generations to the benefit of Florida’s State Courts System.
